On
a grassy field approaching an old house. There was a line of trees
ahead then another area of grass that gently banked up to the
property. Hiding in this treeline and slowly creeping across the
grass and up to the building. The house was slightly creepy, with a
long timber verandah to the front. It seemed to be abandoned and
there was a sense of something frightening. Recall being close to the
house and a drainpipe was shaking violently. There was a character
with no face there. He seemed to be screaming kind of silently under his non-face-

Lying
in bed. Woke up and switched on the small angle poise on my bedside
table. Being an energy saving bulb it flickered slightly prior to
staying on. However, the bulb continued to flicker at this point of
ignition. Suddenly I realised there was an identical lamp next to
this that had switched on independently, it too flickering in the same way. I
then realised my whole room was full of lamps flickering at this low
ebb, drawing on the house's power in order to flourish. I suddenly took
fright, realising that this overloading would mean a fire would break
out. I heard my brother wail from the adjoining room and knew this
meant that there was already something aflame. I ran to my parents' room, sure in the knowledge that if we switched off the power at the
mains the fire would cease. I knocked on my parents (carpet coated?)
door and entered. Both of them had my father's head on their
shoulders, my mother lying reading on the bed, my father sitting on
the edge, exuding an air of calm confidence. He and I headed to the
meter cupboard where I flicked one switch, then another and, before long, I was rapidly switching a multitude of multiplying switches! All the while my
brother's steady wail was sounding in the background. I ran upstairs
to his room and flung open the door. Oddly, the swing of the door
created a clear path through the fire across the floor to the foot of his bed. Strange
flames, akin to fake movie effects, flickered up the curtains to my
right. I lunged forward to my brother's bed, clutching at the form of
the burning blanket-

Primary School. In the old Primary 1-3 building. In the stairwell,
which was simple concrete steps and landings with coloured tubular
steel handrails. I think/recall these were yellow, red and perhaps
blue? The open central stair void was slightly frightening and I often felt
like I was teetering at the edge. Some of us were climbing the steps
but the landings were shifting and moving, retracting back from us,
meaning we would have to leap to reach them. Seemed to be perched on slender concrete ledges around the perimeter of the stairwell too, clinging on for fear of falling. At some points the
handrails were dangling – Towering Inferno-like – and we had to
risk climbing up them (to reach the top?)-

Looking
through a magazine at a "Top 100 of this..." list, a "Top 100 of that..." list
and the like. I flicked to a page titled "Top 50 heroes to appear in
film in 2009". Batman, to my surprise, was in first place at Number 1. Slowly, as I read and absorbed this list (Joker was at Number 5) I was absorbed into
the actual scene. Batman towered next to me (I was Number 50, I was sure)
and I noticed his costume was very overwrought, his ears very long
and his nose incredibly pointed. The actor(?) therein was very
tanned, possibly Latino or Italianate. At this point Batman, and
subsequently, all hell broke loose and I suddenly realised I was
perhaps Animal Man and, as such, stood no chance in this fight.
Great power bolts were being fired and the security/police guards
who were now attempting to restrain everyone were taking a beating.
One of these bolts just missed me, blowing a hole in the side of our
train transport. These developments about location and others seemed
to be obvious to me at the very moment they occurred - I simply knew we were on a
train. A Luke Cage-alike in a blue costume, who I also assumed to be Animal Man helped me through this breakage and out onto the side of
the train. This same character, now sporting a Russian accent,
proceeded to clamber round to the very front of the train, of the typical
US chunky design, and seemed to 'metallically' absorb it whilst
simultaneously sort of spewing it back out in a smooth, shiny
aluminium solder-alike splodge. This process brought it to a halt-

"History of Clubbing" jigsaw. I am spread-eagled close to it, arms outstretched, holding the 4/5 completed puzzle in place with my hands. It's unfinished around the edges. There is no physical wall behind the puzzle - I am pressing it against an invisible force and it hangs in mid-air. Behind me, sort of wrapped in and around each other, are 5 or 6 people who are adding pieces here or there. I am scared as we prepare to switch over the task of holding the puzzle in place, 2 people bracing and moving in to undertake my Atlas-like role to allow me to participate. Enn Tee is there and she's showing me some pieces. I bash her leg or she bashes mine as we get out of our respective ways? A man then sort of announces himself and somehow surfs his way, creating a tunnel, through the tangle of bodies-
In a supermarket looking at (what I realise is) packed frozen fish. From somewhere comes the ceaseless chant, "See some ices, it's us!"-

A
long time ago. On The Broomfields at the shore front at Largs. Lots
of people gathered to watch a Concorde jet plane doing truly
spectacular loop the loops. As it constantly repeated this stunt I
remember thinking it was looping far too near to the ground and it
did a final loop and crashed. Very scary-
